Drop-in styles that make plain semantic HTML look finished, with light and dark themes. No longer updated: 2.1.1 (Oct 2026) is the last.

A small CSS framework by Lucas Larroche that styles plain semantic HTML, using fewer than 10 classes, with a class-less version too. It has light and dark schemes that follow prefers-color-scheme without JavaScript, 20 colour themes, and over 130 CSS variables plus Sass for customising.
Pico CSS is no longer maintained. v2.1.1 (March 2025) is the final release, and the GitHub repositories are archived. npm, the jsDelivr CDN and picocss.com stay online, and the MIT licence allows forks.
The maintainer's note says a current version would need a rewrite in plain modern CSS with OKLCH, cascade layers, popover and anchor positioning, which Pico does not use today.
