Explains what Baseline 'newly' and 'widely available' mean and links to tools for checking features against them.

Baseline is a label that tells you whether a web feature works across the core browsers: Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop and mobile. It started at the Chrome team and is now defined by the W3C WebDX Community Group.
A feature is "Newly available" once all core browsers support it, and "Widely available" 30 months after that. Features are also grouped by year into targets such as Baseline 2024 or 2025.
The web.dev page links to tools that use the data: a Lighthouse audit, ESLint rules for CSS, Browserslist Baseline queries, a VS Code integration and the web-features npm package.
